We had a great miracle in our family from St. Faustina and
Jesus of Mercy. My husband had a serious heart attack ,at 45
years if age, in May 2000. The doctors were very serious in
their predictions, and they feared large to moderate heart
damage, due to the test results. I hung up a prayer card of
Divine Mercy over my Husband in the ICU, and another one of
St.,( then Blessed), Faustina. We prayed the novena and the
Chaplet over and over. I also prayed to my protector, St.
Joseph. Several days into the situation, my husband was
transferred to Westchester Medical Center. I drove back home one
night, after all day at the hospital...a 2 hour drive one way. I
sat on the couch in the dark, and I closed my eyes. I saw
someone walking toward me in light. It was a nun, and I
recognized the habit. I realized, as she got closer, that it was
St. Faustina, in living color! Suddenly, behind her, appeared
our Lord, and looked like the Divine Mercy Image. Rays of light
streamed from His heart, and my husband appeared below them, in
his hospital bed, just as I had left him. I began to pray for
his healing...for a miracle. St. Faustina looked at me, for what
it seemed to be a long pause, and then she reached up behind
her, and took from out Lord's heart, a large crystal heart,
swirling within with white, pink, and red light, like smoke
almost. She paused again, looking at me, and then bent low to
bring the heart down toward my husband in the hospital bed.
Instantly, all was dark again. I had great hope, as I traveled
to see my husband the next day. After Casey's angioplasty, the
doctors were pleased and amazed that he looked so good, and that
the damage was so small, at the bottom. They were so surprised,
and completely changed their prognosis to a favorable one.
It is five years later, and Casey is now 50,and doing
well, thanks be to God, Jesus' Divine Mercy, and St.
Faustina! A Priest also blessed Casey with a relic of Padre
Pio, and we send our thanks to the dear Padre also. We have
two sons, 12 and 14. The younger , Ryan was born with Spina
Bifida, and many of the accompanying conditions...neurogenic
bladder and bowel, shunted for hydrocephalas, Arnold Chiari
brain malformation, and a sub-clinical seizure disorder, and
he has had 5 surgeries. My older boy, Evan has had two
surgeries for hydro-neufrosis of the kidney...also from an
undetected birth defect. Both boys have good and happy
dispositions, and are very prayerful. Evan will graduate
from St. Joseph's 8th grade in June. We hope to send him on
to Catholic High School. Ryan continues to improve with Our
Lady's Intercession. You can see why we have such a devotion
to Jesus of Mercy!
