Vinly Divine Mercy Banners

Iowa 2000 Youth Ministries

Hey Jim,

I haven't even had a chance to breath since the retreat. I was absolutely thrilled when we hung up the banners last Friday!!!! They are a real blessing and are absolutely beautiful. See the attached picture... it does them very little justice, but I thought you would like to see them up at the retreat. We sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy during the hour of mercy on Saturday. One of the Friars from NY talked quite a bit on the mercy message prior to the chaplet and he had the young people focus on the image on your banner. It was really a blessed time, a great asset to the retreat, and to the message of mercy of our Almighty God. Thank you again!! You might also like to know the banners will be used on Mercy Sunday at Christ the King Parish next spring for a gathering of over 1000 people to sing the Chaplet. Pretty cool, huh?

Peace & Blessings to you, my brother!
Rob

"Do everything in your power to spread devotion to My Mercy"

Eugene Cook and the Divine Mercy Cenacle at St. Thomas Aquinas have donated many 34" x 60" framed restored Vilnius Images of the Divine Mercy in the greater Houston area.

In donating an Image and devotional materials to St. Mary's Seminary, Eugene explained his hope that seminarians would develop a special love and devotion to Our Lord's Divine Mercy; and as new priests, bring that Divine Mercy knowledge, love and devotion to their priestly work. We wish to thank Eugene and his friends for their great generosity.

"Indeed it is stunningly beautiful and I had to hold back the tears..."

Dear Mercy Films,

I picked up the Divine Mercy image yesterday morning (Holy Thursday) from the UPS depot. The depot is located on the outskirts of the city and close to Our Lady of Fatima (Portuguese/English) parish where the Image will be venerated. Since I wasn't far from the church I decided to drive there right away in hope of maybe finding Fr. Manuel at home in the rectory.

He was just pulling out of the driveway when I pulled up so fortunately we didn't miss each other. He opened the door to the rectory and as I took the box out of the trunk, he remarked rather apprehensively, "It is large." That had me a bit concerned because I wanted very much for him to be happy with the Image for his parishioners. I took the box into the living room of the rectory and carefully cut the tape around the seams and opened the box. I tossed aside all the protective plastic bubble wrap and removed the tape that held the wrapping - the back of the Image was only visible to us and we were both anxious to see it. When I turned it to face us we were both rather awe struck and Father remarked, "It is so beautiful!"

Indeed it is stunningly beautiful and I had to hold back the tears thinking how wonderful and loving Our Lord is and how that moment of His appearance must have been so truly blessed for Saint Faustina to see Him in such brilliant majesty and glory. And it was so consoling to know that Our Lord is ever with his faithful and is as always calling all people to Him but perhaps in a special way in these troublesome and spiritually promiscuous times. There was a long pause as Father Manuel and I venerated the Image for a while in silence and then he wondered out loud where it should hang, "Now I have to think about a suitable place in the Church...."I drove back to the office heading into the direction of the dazzling morning sunlight that was partially blinding the rest of the drivers heading into town. Thank God for that glorious light, no one was able to notice my tears of joy. Praised be Jesus! Thank you Jim, and may God bless you.

A devoted parishioner in British Columbia, Canada Ave Maria!

PS: Father Manuel wrote me a few days before Divine Mercy Sunday: "The beautiful image was put in the church in a prominent place from where it will remind us of the great love He shows to us." The Image of our Lord is now indeed in a prominent location, just to the left of the altar from where it captures your glance immediately upon entering the church. What I noticed most before Mass was how many of the faithful were praying to Jesus in that Image before the Mass started.

"...it truly glows no matter what the time of day or lighting conditions."

Dear Mercy Films, I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to your organization for providing us with such a stunning Divine Mercy picture. (frame not as shown - no photo sent)

Our 20" x 36" framed canvas arrived last Thursday, January 27. The DHL delivery person rang our door bell at 3 p.m. How fitting an arrival time!! My husband and I just love the image and its presentation--- it truly glows no matter what the time of day or lighting conditions. We will keep the brochures you sent us nearby to share with any and all who admire the picture - and we will recommend that they check your website to see the wonderful options you offer.

Divine Mercy has been an important part of our faith and prayer life-- but we both feel a new, deeper attraction and commitment to the prayers and devotions having taken the step to bring this image into our home.

Thank you to all of your staff who are involved in Divine Mercy apostolates-- it is a great service and is doing great good in our world! We also appreciate the other booklets and apostolate information you included with our delivery. They, too, are well done and are very inviting to read and to share.

I hope this year to convince one of our priests to actually prepare the people of the parish for Mercy Sunday. Let's say a prayer that my Pastor agrees to hang the Image in the Main Church. If not, I will bring it back and forth for special feast days. I'm starting to think maybe I should offer to have a little teaching in the parish, and I could tell the people about St. Faustina and Jesus of Mercy. (Ginger and Del have a special Divine Mercy story).

God bless you all and thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
