The video clip above has been taken from the "Marian Apostolates" DVD, produced here at Mercy Films, Inc., in collaboration with the John Paul II Institute of Divine Mercy, Stockbridge, MA. This DVD is offered FREE of cost when you purchase the Oceans of Mercy Retreat DVD (pictured above, not to be confused with the Ocean of Mercy film about St. Faustina, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and Pope John Paul II).
In the short video clip above, Father Paul Henry, spiritual director for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, gives a powerful review of the Oceans of Mercy Retreat, a retreat given by the Marian Fathers, for clergy. This entire retreat was put on DVD and titled Oceans of Mercy, and contains over 5 hours of in-depth video instruction on the message of Divine Mercy. Father Henry's review is mainly geared toward the clergy encouraging them to make this retreat; however, it is in fact a review of the DVD as well, which captured every conference of the retreat and makes it available to you.
Also on the Oceans DVD is an interactive question/answer menu which targets particular places in the DVD program with the most commonly asked question about the message of Divine Mercy. In effect, it answers questions with the conference footage, creating a truly useful teaching program.
Already on our second edition, this DVD has encouraged and trained hundreds if not thousands of laity and clergy about this all-important message given to us by God through St. Faustina.
Here's a list of the talks on the DVD:
* Father Seraphim Michalenko, MIC. Two talks, one on the Image, and the other on the Feast of Divine Mercy. * Dr. Robert Stackpole on the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. * Divine Mercy and the Priesthood: A Personal Testimony by Rev. David Lord, MIC. * The Life and Mission of St. Faustina by Rev. Kaz Chwalek, MIC * The Eucharist and Reconciliation, Sacraments of Mercy by Rev. Paul Henry, Spiritual Director of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. This is a definitive program on The Divine Mercy message. Shot on a 5 day retreat at the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
Father Seraphim served as vice-postulator for St. Faustina's canonization process and therefore had access to many documents that remain unpublished, much of which is shared in this program. "...but as he is explaining this particular passage from the Diary, he points out that this was an external vision. It was not something she saw within herself, or had an imagination of. And interestingly enough, we have external proof of that. When we were digging in the documents relating to Faustina's life and writings, we found a passage where one of the nuns gave the witness under oath to the tribunal, that on this particular day, later in the evening, the doorbell rang to the convent. And the nun who answered the door saw these children, and they said, "Sister, what are those lights coming out of the window in the convent?" She said, "What lights?" And they said, "There are lights...!" Now, if it was just "light" coming out, they would have said "light" but they said it in the plural "lights", which suggested different colors. And the sister said, "I know nothing about it, go ask the superior." So she goes to the Superior and she asked, "are there some kind of lights coming out of the window?" The Superior says, "I don't know anything about them." But they wrote down this incident; there is record of it. Which shows that while she was having that vision in the cell, somehow through the window in this room which was like a dormitory, these lights that she saw emanating from our Lord's side had an external reality, that somebody noticed. So that couldn't have been something she was imagining or something that was happening outside of her..." Don't miss this in-depth explanation of The Divine Mercy and the life of St. Faustina!

Since
the mid-1940's, soon after the death of Sister Faustina, the
Marian Fathers have been at the forefront of spreading the
message of Divine Mercy. They are recognized by the Vatican as
an authority on the message, expounders of it's authentic
meaning, and see it's propagation as one of their main tasks.
To help them promote the message around the world, the Marian Fathers have incorporated three (presently) lay-run apostolates into their community. Because there is so much work to be done, both the Marians and these lay apostolates work closely with other Divine Mercy promoters like Mercy Films, Inc.
The Marian Apostolates DVD is a 1/2 hour video program which is included free when you purchase the Oceans of Mercy Retreat DVD. This DVD, along with a bonus conference given by Father Seraphim, shows what these three apostolates do and how they can help individuals, parishes, and clergy come to better understand this message.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS PROGRAM PLAYED ON YOUR LOCAL ACCESS CABLE NETWORK, please email Mercy Films, Inc. Tell us in your email that you would like to promote the Apostolates DVD on your local cable access. We will provide you with information on how to do this - it's free. We will send you either a VHS or DVD copy you can give to them, for a minimal cost. The DVD is a great introduction to the message of Divine Mercy and how we can help. It's important to permeate society with this message of God's love and mercy to counteract the current programming on television, which is primarily violent and sexual in nature. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for being an apostle of Divine Mercy!
Mother
of Mercy Messengers (MOMM), run by Dave and Joan
Maroney, travel the country and the world with their interactive
"Tell All Souls About My Mercy" program, a one-hour dramatic
depiction of the diary of St. Faustina. Mercy Films, Inc. has
the good fortune of being closely associated with MOMM in the
production of their video programs including "Tell All Souls
About My Mercy", "Divine Mercy for Young Hearts", and "St.
Faustina's Way of the Cross." For any parish wishing to know
more about this message, bringing MOMM to their parish is a
must. To see what MOMM is all about, please view
this video clip. In fact, it was a
MOMM presentation which inspired Mary Duray of Enfield, CT, to
choose mercy and life for the attackers who killed her son. (You

The
next Marian apostolate is the Eucharistic Apostles of
Divine Mercy, founded by Dr. Bryan Thatcher. Also a
close associate and friend of Mercy Films, Inc., Dr. Thatcher's
work has given birth to over 1000 Divine Mercy prayer cenacles
throughout the U.S. and the world. They also ship medical
supplies, food, job training, religious information and other
needed things to needy people across the globe. (See a
short video clip of Dr. Thatcher).
Also
working within the Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy
apostolate are the
"Healthcare Professionals for Divine Mercy" founded by
Marie Romagnano, RN, BSN, CRC, CCM,CLCP. They bring
understanding to medical professionals, nurses and doctors on
the sacredness of life, the benefits of the Chaplet for the
dying, and help ensure that these professionals are aware of the
spiritual needs of their patients and how to serve these needs.
Sold-out attendance of Marie's
annual conference is a sign that the thirst for spiritual
knowledge in those that serve others' needs is alive and well!
Last
but not least, the final Marian apostolate is the John
Paul II Institute of Divine Mercy. The mission of this
apostolate is to "teach the teachers" of this message, and to
insure correct theological interpretations are propagated.
Director Dr. Robert Stackpole, STD, gives conferences around the
world on Divine Mercy, writes books, and provides the "Oceans of
Mercy" retreats. Dr. Stackpole and I worked together to produce
the Oceans DVD discussed above.

Every Friday night at the Little Sisters of the Poor chapel in Enfield, CT, between 50 and 80 people gather to pray for God's mercy on the world. Our format, over 5 years in practice, is now spreading to other parishes and congregations. Consisting of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet with readings from the diary of St. Faustina, a half hour of silent adoration, hymns and Benediction, this format works well for larger groups. Start one in your parish!
An interactive program covering every major aspect of The Divine Mercy Message and Devotion, presented by today’s leading Divine Mercy experts. Filmed at a retreat for clergy at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA. Produced by the John Paul II Institute of Divine Mercy in conjunction with Mercy Films, Inc.
At times Our Lord puts our love and trust to the test in difficult ways, and Mary's story is one of heroic courage and love as she takes God at His word, extending mercy and forgiveness at a time when she could have very well called for the death penalty.
